Film Screening and Presentation By Tim Manning

Photographer Court Leve

We invite you to spend an evening with Tim Manning as he narrates through the history behind his lenses, his editing, and his travels around the world documenting snowboarding and the lifestyle around it.

Tim Manning was a successful pro rider for years before becoming one of the most respected cinematographers in snowboarding — working for Burton, Standard Films, and his own company, Tim Manning Productions.

From the “early days” of his snow film archives all the way through his recent award winning work in 2018, Manning will discuss the evolution of filmmaking in the sport: the film vs digital eras alongside the latest cameras, drones, and helicopter GSS gimbals that have changed the sport and given his fans the unforgettable feeling that would make anyone want to snowboard and travel around the world forever.

Screenings will include works specifically on legendary Tahoe locals Jeremy Jones in the nominated and award winning film “Life Of Glide”,  John Jackson in the hit Red Bull original series “The Book Of John J”, and Danny Davis in ABC’s World of X’s “Peace Park” among many other historical artistic moments in the sport.  Manning will share untold stories, the secrets of the trade, and what inspires him to keep his dream alive.
